About
These low-tech activities are hands-on activities support math and computer science learning at home. They are designed for middle school youth to make independently or with adult support.
I transformed flat PDF versions of these activities into a multimedia interactive format. In addition to the just-in-time pop-up explanations of new terms, I heavily expanded on the how each hands-on activity is presented and experienced. Instead of creating videos of the activities, I illustrated each step and created looping gifs. The content is formatted as a Google Slideshow which is then embedded in the web page.
Having each activity in this format allows learners to visualize where they start and end, and see a step repeated over and over again. The variety of guidance options helps them follow along at their own pace without feeling left behind.
