Fashion design, many many hours of hand sewing
About
This is a light up dress I made for the first dance of my wedding! It’s off the rack and was a size too small and I was running out of time. I added a corset back for fit, and a jeweled waistband for bridal effects. In retrospect this is probably a result of subliminal cues from wedding industry marketing.
Most of the work on this dress was sewing on the fairy lights on the inner layer. That took at least 20 hours of hand sewing wire. The fairy lights have a remote to control their flicker rate. And the battery pack fits nicely into an unintentional side pocket on the dress bodice.
